Job SummaryOversee the daily operations of a Patient Access department, driving process improvements and ensuring timely, accurate, and safe patient flow through the Patient Access process.Key ResponsibilitiesKey responsibilities include:

• Implementing process improvement initiatives to achieve Conifer and client goals, identifying areas of opportunity through collaboration with internal and external peers.
• Developing and implementing action plans as needed.
• Managing a budget, understanding and communicating all aspects of Patient Access, from technology to regulations.
• Leading staffing activities, including documentation, staff selection, wage/salary management, orientation, and training.
• Working with Client Services to address client needs, concerns, and requests related to Patient Access, ensuring proactive and efficient resolution.
• Communicating and addressing issues impeding performance, including technology or process issues.Financial ResponsibilityFinancial responsibility includes managing a budget, with varying scope based on hospital size, volume, and payor mix.Supervisory ResponsibilitiesSupervisory responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees, planning, assigning, and directing work, appraising performance, and addressing complaints and resolving problems.RequirementsRequirements include:
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership and management abilities.
  • Ability to manage a budget.
  • Proficiency in Regulatory requirements.
  • Thorough knowledge of Insurance.
  • Ability to Delegate successfully.Education and ExperienceEducation and experience requirements include a Bachelor's Degree and three to five years of management experience in a Revenue Cycle, Business Services, or Acute Healthcare environment.Work EnvironmentThe work environment is an office and hospital setting, with approximately 25% travel required.
